Dr. Goodrich will work with the performers using the basic principles of the Alexander Technique and will invite the audience to learn by observing.
The Lincoln County District of Oregon Music Teachers Association with the help of Nellie Tholen Enrichment Grant presents Dr. Daniel Immel in solo piano recital via Zoom. His program will include Sonata Op. 20, no. 3 in F minor by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Six Transcriptions of Songs by Charles Alexis Weissenberg, and Sonata in B minor, S. 178 by Franz Liszt.

Catherine Darnall, an experienced teacher from our local Rogue Valley chapter, will share ideas about how to introduce beginners to the keyboard to establish skills and gain confidence before exposing them to printed music.

The OMTA Sonatina Festival is a biennial competitive event for students of high school age and younger. Participants perform Sonatina/Sonata movements selected from various composers, periods, and styles before an adjudicator in a private audition. Two students from each level are chosen to perform in the Honors Recital later in the day to compete for first and second place. The Honors Recital is open to the public.
