Dorothy Fahlman, NCTM, received the Nellie Tholen Excellence in Teaching Award at the banquet dinner during the WSMTA/ OMTA joint conference. She received a commemorative scrapbook, and a crystal vase with an engraved plaque. She was most grateful for the award, because as she says—”being a teacher is who I am!”
The Oregon Music Teachers Association (OMTA) Teaching Award brings recognition to members who have demonstrated exceptional and inspirational music teaching, who have contributed greatly to their communities and to OMTA, and who have been members of OMTA for at least 20 years.
