An important issue will be raised at the Membership Meeting during the OMTA Conference. On the agenda will be motions to remove the music degree requirement for active membership status.
Currently, Oregon is one of only two states in the nation that still requires a music degree for active status.
You don’t need to register for the conference to attend the Membership Meeting and all members are encouraged to attend. The board of directors will explain the need for this change. There will be time for discussion and then a vote.
