This year\, because of the health concerns\, the event will take place virtually\, with prerecorded videos uploaded in advance and compiled into a virtual performance. All musical selections will be original compositions from the Baroque era (ca.1600-1750) performed primarily on piano\, organ or strings.

These include\, but are not limited to\, duos on one piano\, quartets on two pianos\, trios on three different instruments\, etc. \nEnsemble playing requires students to work with others in polishing a piece\, develops students’ ability to listen critically to each other\, and enhances the fun of making music. \nThese recitals are adjudicated. All students receive certificates and feedback from master teachers. Winners of district ensemble events are invited to perform at the state recital.
